Founded in 2011 by President Jamson Tim, SAGA is one of the largest guitar manufacturers in China, with a factory of 30,000 square meters and more than 300 employees. SAGA has a number of production lines, including high-end handmade production lines. SAGA owns three original guitar brands, Saga, Mantic, and Hula。 Today, Saga makes a complete range of “quality” guitars for everyone in the world, from beginner to professionals. We will continue to build every guitar with our hearts and continuously improve product quality and customer service.
- 2011: Established Wooden Guitar Factory (SAGA’s first factory) and launched the self-owned brand SAGA in the same year.
- 2012: Released the first independently designed SF700 Series solid-top acoustic guitar.
- 2014: Introduced the sub-brand Mantic series entry-level guitars.
- 2018: The new SAGA Guitar Factory was established in Anshun, Guizhou Province, significantly expanding production capacity and upgrading manufacturing processes.
- 2019: Launched the first “blockbuster” all-solid model — the A1 Series guitars.
- 2020: Further enriched the product line by releasing the first entry-level laminated guitar — the SF600 Series.
- 2024: Expanded into the electric guitar field, established the SAGA Electric Guitar Research Center, and launched the brand’s first electric guitar product — the DAZZLES Series.
- 2025: Introduced German PLEK technology, ushering in the SAGA Manufacturing 3.0 era.

SAGA Guitar Factory is one of the most renowned professional guitar manufacturing bases in China. Located in Anshun, Guizhou Province, the factory covers an area of 30,000 square meters, employs over 350 skilled craftsmen, and is equipped with modern standard workshops and multiple semi-automatic production lines. It is capable of producing a full range of instruments, including acoustic guitars, electric guitars, classical guitars, and ukuleles.
The factory has introduced advanced equipment such as CNC machining, professional NT neck joints, and wood thermal treatment, and is also equipped with the PLEK Pro system for professional fret scanning and fine adjustment, achieving international standards of manufacturing precision.

In SAGA, CNC technology is primarily responsible for the 'cutting' and 'shaping' processes. However, other processes that have the greatest influence on a guitar's tone and playability, such as wood selection, drying, jointing, gluing, final sanding and finishing, assembly and setup, are still handle by our experienced luthiers.
Wood heat treatment is reserved exclusively for premium models among many renowned guitar brands. However, SAGA offers a wider selection, with heat-treated tops featured on all our high-end solid-top guitars, like the A1 PRO series. Furthermore, all SAGA solid-top guitars now also have heat-treated tops, including the popular 700, 830, 800 and 850 Series. Guitar enthusiasts on a budget no longer need to worry about having to purchase an expensive guitar to benefit from this technology.
At SAGA, the playing experience is always our top priority. Our luthiers have refined the bolt-on neck joint process by using CNC technology for precise bolt-hole drilling. This ensures there is virtually no gap between the neck and body after installation – a detail which we do better than many guitar brands! Furthermore, we have redesigned the traditional C-shaped neck. Using CNC machine to cut and sanding it again based on the C-shape, offer a thinner neck while combining with the bolt-on neck joint, delivers an unparalleled playing experience!
SAGA uses advanced Plek Pro machines from Germany to carry out customised Plek setups on its high-end electric guitar and acoustic guitar. Like SAGA Dazzels Electric Guitar, and All Solid A1 Pro Acoustic Guitar. Our technicians configure specific parameters for each guitar. After scanning the actual fretboard profile, the Plek machine calculates and creates a perfectly matched contour based on these settings. This ensures a uniform and optimal string-to-fret height at every fret position.
SAGA has three large temperature- and humidity-controlled storage warehouse, which are specifically constructed for wood reserves. Most wood undergoes a natural air-drying process lasting one to two years. We stack the wood neatly with ample gaps to allow free air circulation, which gently stabilises the internal moisture content. Building upon this natural drying process, we then subject the wood to further controlled drying.
SAGA operates three guitar production lines, dedicated respectively to mid-to-high-end acoustic guitars, electric guitars, and premium acoustic guitars. Each production line is fully equipped with advanced CNC machinery and staffed with skilled craftsmen, ensuring the highest product quality standards. The factory also houses its own case and bag facility, producing guitar bags exclusively for SAGA instruments.
